DuPont Kevlar Technology Product Line
Kevlar is the innovation from DuPont. With it, you can create NIJ Level IIIA vest designs that provide superior Ballistic performance and reduce back face deformations by approximately 15% or more. This Kevlar technology offers more flexibility in designing body armor for specific end-user requirements in addition to NIJ, such as standard that focus on 9mm threats (e.g., SK1).
The unique architecture of Kevlar also allows you to use fewer layers of material, reducing labor and material costs. Kevlar feature a patented woven fabric technology that enables vests to weight at least 10% less than those made with other commercially available technologies, while still being made of 100% Kevlar material.
Storage
Store in a dry temperate area, avoiding storage conditions exceeding 66°C(150°f) and avoiding direc exposure to sun or UV light.
Cover the fabric with black impermeable plastic.
Handling
- Avoid tearing and crushing the product.
- Avoid using bleach or product containing bleach to clean this product
- When transporting sheets, ensure that the locally applicable handing procedure is followed in accordance with package weight.
Proper Usage
- Lay up the layers in the same direction for optimal performance.
- Sheets must be converted into vests which are suitable for the intended end-use.
- It is the responsibility of vest manufacture to design suitable product and obtain the relevant certifications before releasing vests to end-users.
